Invitation to participate at the “Theater at the Crossroads” Festival

Dear friends,
National Theater in Nis invites you to participate in the festival “Theater at the Crossroads”, which will be held for the second time from March 11 to March 19, 2020 in Nis.
“Theater at the Crossroads” is looking for performances by professional theaters who create and operate within the common Balkan cultural space and are competitive in nature.
The Program Council consists of prominent theater makers from Serbia and the region: President – Nebojsa Bradic, theater director (Serbia); members – Aleksandar Milosavljevic, theater critic (Serbia), prof. Darko Lukic, PhD, theatrologist (Croatian), Dejan Lilic, actor (Macedonia), Dejan Petkovic, theatrologist (Serbia), Dejan Stojiljković, writer (Serbia) and director of the National Theater in Nis, Spasoje Z. Milovanovic, MA theatrologist.
The co-selectors of the festival are Spasoje Z. Milovanovic, MA theatrologist, and Aleksandar Milosavljevic, theater critic.
The festival jury will award awards for best performance, directing, four acting awards, for costume and scenography, for original stage music, for stage movement, as well as for a special festival award. In addition to these, there will be a roundtable award for criticism and an audience jury award.

Performances which had their premieres in the period from 1st December 2018 to 30th November 2019 are eligible to apply.
The application deadline (2 plays) is December 1, 2019.

Applications must include: application form, video of the play, text of the play, short description of the play, information about the author of the text, information about the director, excerpts from the reviews, poster, program and photos.
