The National Theatre in Niš continues the series of guest performances with the play “Ice Cream“ based on the text by the Croatian playwright Miro Gavran and directed by Spasoje Ž. Milovanović. The audience in Montenegro will have the opportunity to see this comedy on April 23rd in Park Hall in Herceg Novi and on April 25th in the Cultural Information Centre „Budo Tomović“ in Podgorica.
Actresses Ivana Nedović and Nadja Nedović Tekinder play in this performance that was premiered on February 9th, 2019 on the stage of the National Theatre in Niš.
As implied by the very title of the play “Ice Cream”, the mother and the daughter always go get ice cream during crucial moments in their lives. The play deals with the mother-daughter relationship, from the earliest age to some later, advanced years and it is interesting that the actresses are a mother and a daughter in real life. Their experience greatly helped them create characters and reflect on the mother-daughter relationship on stage.
The play continues its life on the permanent repertoire of the Niš Theatre, but also at guest appearances and stages across the region.
