On Tuesday, February 11, starting at 8 pm, the play “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” produced by Krusevac Theatre and Art Theme from Belgrade will be performed at the National Theater in Nis. The play was written by Martin McDonagh, directed by Milos Jagodic.

The play, through the mother-daughter relationship, speaks of the monotony of life in a remote community, the fear of loneliness and lack of love, of the workers who are looking for a better life. Although it is set in the mountain regions of Ireland, it is a universal story about lives of ordinary people from anywhere in the world.

The play stars: Ljiljana Stjepanovic, Jelena Stajkovac, Djordje Markovic and Nikola Rakic.

Ticket prices for the play “The Beauty Queen of Leenane” are 500 dinars (ground floor), 400 dinars (balcony) and can be purchased at the box office.
