Zoran Pesic Sigma was born in Bela Crkva in 1960.
He is a writer and editor of the journal for literature, art and culture Gradina, and a member of the Serbian Literary Society. He has published eight books of poems, four books of prose and two plays. Three books have been translated into Greek, Bulgarian and Macedonian. His poems have been translated into Bulgarian, Romanian, Hungarian, Macedonian, Polish, Spanish and Greek. He has received multiple awards and honors. For the Lonely Car Street drama, he received the Steria’s Theater Award for original domestic dramatic text (2017).
The novel Lonely Car Street was published by the National Library “Stevan Sremac” in Nis.
Award-winning text Lonely Car Street had its stage production premiere on March 11, 2018 at the National Theater in Nis, directed by Djurdja Tesic.
The play was performed at the 63rd Steria Theater in honor of the awardees.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 19 in the Great Hall of the Nis Cultural Center from 11 am, and the funeral will be at 2 pm in the New Cemetery in Nis.
