“Ice cream” for the season end

On Friday, June 26, 2020, the National Theater in Nis closed its theatre season in front of the Nis audience with performance of the show “Ice Cream”, directed by Spasoje Z. Milovanovic. After a break caused by the corona virus pandemic and online performances which were available for public viewing during the months of April and May, to the mutual satisfaction, finally it came to contact between the actors and the audience.

The Nis Theater continues its life and activities during the summer, with guest appearances and participation in festivals, which will be held this summer.

This way on July 4, 2020 “Ice Cream” will be seen by the audience in Kraljevo, on the summer stage of their theater.  It is a comedy that follows the fate of a mother and daughter, played by Ivana Nedovic and Nadja Nedovic Tekinder.

With the play “As You Like It” directed by Nikita Milivojevic, the Nis theater will participate in the summer festival “Theater in the Fortress”, in Smederevo, and in August at the traditional Shakespeare festival in Cortanovci. This international theater festival was founded in 2014, and the festival program consists of contemporary world productions of Shakespeare’s works.

The second international theater festival “Theater at the Crossroads”, which was supposed to take place in March, has been postponed for September and will take place from September 9 to 16, 2020.

The National Theater in Nis, like all other theaters, is enthusiastically awaiting the realization of all its plans.
