On Tuesday, February 1, at the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad, work began on the show “Divisions”, based on a novel by Dobrica Cosic, and directed by Jug Radivojevic.

It is a co-production of the Serbian National Theater (lead producer), the National Theater from Nis and the National Theater from Pristina (as associate co-producers).

“Deobe”, by Dobrica Cosic, will be staged according to the dramatization by Spasoje Z. Milovanovic, the dramaturge is Bozidar Knezevic, the production designer is Jug Radivojevic, the costume designer is Tatjana Radisic, and the composer is Aleksandar Srebric. The author team also includes Danilo Mladjenovic, assistant stage designer, Igor Damjanovic, stage movement, and Radovan Knezevic, stage speech.

The play stars: Nebojsa Savic (Uros Babovic, village boss), Sonja Damjanovic (Vida, his wife), Milos Cvetkovic (Milos, his son), Nebojsa Djordjevic (Vita, his servant), Milan Kovacevic (Adam Katic, village boss), Grigorije Jaksic (Dusan Katic, student, his son), Igor Damjanovic (Ljubisa Dacic, their servant), Strahinja Bojovic (Doctor, civil politician), Dejan Cicmilovic (Kosta Cvetic, major), Valentin Wenzel (German officer) and Bojana Milanovic Bride).

The play will be premiered on all three stages in March, and the audience will be able to see it in Novi Sad, Nis and Gracanica and in the permanent repertoire of the theater.
