The National Theater in Nis is pleased to announce the beginning of 2021, with the premiere of the play “Anna Karenina” written by Lav N. Tolstoy, directed by Irfan Mensur.

After the postponement of rehearsals and work in difficult circumstances, caused by the epidemic, the Nis audience will finally have the opportunity to attend the opening evening of “Anna Karenina”, on Friday, January 22 and Saturday, January 23, starting at 6 p.m.

Apart from Irfan Mensur, who in addition to directing, also signs dramaturgy and production design, the author team consists of the composer, Aleksandar Sanja Ilic, costume designer, Biljana Krstic, choreographer, Danica Nicic, editor, Natasa Ilic, stage designer and assistant costume designer, Katarina Filipovic, and the production manager Ivana Stojanovic.

The audience will have the opportunity to see two actresses in the role of the famous Anna Karenina, Dragana Micalovic in the premiere performance on January 22 and the first rerun on January 24, and Katarina Arsic the member of the Nis ensemble on January 23 and in the second rerun on January 25.

Tickets for the play, at a price of 600 dinars, can be purchased at the theater box office, every working day, from 10 am to 8 pm.
